We may not have posted much on here, but we’ve been putting a lot of effort into our fight for freedom!
In May, the big focus was on our Presidential ticket. Delegates from our area, across Florida, and across the country met in Washington D.C. for the Libertarian Party National Convention over Memorial Day weekend. After 4 really long days and lots of votes later, we finally nominated our Presidential ticket for the Libertarian Party – Chase Oliver for President and Mike ter Maat for Vice President! Please visit their websites, watch their videos, learn how you can get involved in their campaigns, and most importantly – vote for them in November! The Libertarian National Committee was also selected during the convention and we’re happy to share it even includes some of our Florida delegates.
In June, we recovered… then we worked on some behind the scenes items on our task list, and a handful of our members cleaned up a stretch of highway near the Bridge of Lions! Big thanks to Stacey K. for giving back to the community by registering us in the Adopt-a-Highway program on behalf of the Libertarians in our county. Be on the lookout for future cleanup events on our 2-mile stretch of road. We also had one of our most well-attended business meetings and socials with multiple local candidates in attendance!
